Very easy to install. Packaged well and shipped quickly. Just wish the oil drain cover was advertised better. Would of ordered it with the skid plate but I placed my order online and did not know about the cover at the time. Very well made.

Good product that will certainly protect my car's underside. There were a several extra holes in the plate--probably to support multiple cars, which I found a little confusing at one point. Very well written instructions posted on the web site. Be sure you read them carefully as that may save you time and prevent mistakes. Also, have a quality torque wrench on-hand as it is very important for the installation of the hexagon rivet nuts. My inexpensive torque wrench did not click-out in time on the 2nd rivet nut, resulting in partial stripping of the threads--something that will not be easy to fix if it becomes fully stripped in the future.

DRIVING PASSAT IN BRAZIL	May 7, 2015

Hi. We have 2 Passat driving between Brazil ,Paraguya,Argentina. Strrets have bumps here to slow you down .but most do not have warnings.We broke oil pan twice in a week and bought EVO skidplate. We combined with Audi A 8 springs and Billstein shocks....2 inches higher and safe,,,

Great product, fits great and protects the entire bottom of the engine. Quick delivery. Ordered with the oil hole cover to fit a 2005 tdi. I had it installed, but the mechanic said it was very easy to do. I could have done it myself. I just didn't want to crawl around under the car. Very happy with the purchase. The oil hole cover could use some instructions. It is pretty simple once you understand how it works, but it was hard to visualize how it worked until it was explained over the phone.

The plate fits quite well but I've installed two of these recently and found that both have issues with clearance for the front vibration damper. It appears there is some more clearance needed? adjusting fully back does help but in reverse on one vehicle it was not possible to get rid of the rubbing. Other than this slight clearance issue , this is an excellent product that protects the vehicle very well.
